Catering Introduction
There are 5 levels of catering service we can provide. The clearer you are about your needs and budget the better your expectations can be met. Each level is more costly.

Planning Your Event
When thinking about your budget for your event it is important to consider the following:
The Food: The quality of your food is never compromised when considering your budget. The type of food served can vary in price, but never in quality. We use the finest organic ingredients, locally sourced whenever possible. When it comes to cost considerations for food, the biggest factors are how the food is to be served and the quantity and variety of food to be prepared. Food prepared for the café is generally more economically priced, but custom prepared options provide more flexibility and uniqueness. Food is generally priced per person.
Beverages: We offer a large variety of beverage options. Filtered water with lemon slices in carafes is provided at 3 star and above events. Alcohol service: we are not bonded and licensed for this. We can help you make other arrangements to accommodate this need, as well as advise you on how to do this yourself.
Servers: the cost of service depends on the complexity of services needed. Labor includes loading and unloading of van, and unloading and washing of all serving items. Other factors that determine amount of service needed:
- Set up: Any on site preparations of platters and food set up.
- Meal service: Served or passed food (as in hors d'oeuvres) will require additional staff. Busing and clean up: setting, collecting, cleaning, crating of rentals or plastic ware all require staff time.
- Set up and/or break down of rentals: chairs, tables, etc.
General staffing requirements:
- up to 100 people: 2 people will be needed for approximately 4–5 hours (depending on amount of physical set-up and take-down needed).
- For over 100 people and up to 150 — 3 staff are needed
- For large complicated affairs (4 star and above) like weddings, one of the servers also serves as coordinator.
No gratuity is automatically added, but will be gladly accepted by our staff.
Equipment: This includes everything from tables and chairs to utensils, and tableclothes. Depending on the size of your event and the number of people attending, this price can range from 5-25% of the total cost of your event. When larger equipment is needed, such as tents and dance floors, this cost may be much more.
Presentation And Delivery
The number of stars indicated on the sample menus give you an idea which meals lend themselves to which presentation and delivery.
In 3 star catering and above, we supply all platters, baskets, standard chafing dishes and creative décor to creative a gorgeous table design. We are happy to create themed centerpieces and can integrate any special items or decorations.
All additional equipment rentals are handled through third-party rental companies and can be coordinated through us at additional charge, or handled by you. Tablecloths are available to rent through us, many colors available. Overlays are are also available.
Above one star catering, all prices include basic disposable ware. Better quality disposables in a variety of colors are available, as well as durable ware at extra cost.
Delivery:
- 1 star: Extra delivery fee within Eugene/ Springfield.
- Extra miliage fee for outside of town.
- 2 star: Delivery and setup: add 10% SERVICE CHARGE.
- 3 star and up: Rented full setting of real dinnerware through us is an additional charge per person.
- Café ware (teal plastic plates) and forks available for an additional charge per person (plus service time for washing).
Deposits:
- To hold your date we require a deposit for large events.
- Two weeks before event 50% of estimated cost is due.
- Remainder of bill due when final invoice presented the week after event.

Variety of organic bottled and canned drinks and water available for additional charge per unit.
- All coffee, selections of teas, soy creamer, half-and-half, and sugar are organic. We serve Café Mam, fair trade coffees.
- Many combinations are available on punch: i.e. peach mango, raspberry-lemonade, strawberry lemonade, very merry berries, and more.
- Hibiscus Cooler (Big Pink) and Mimosa Maté also available (Holy Cow proprietary drinks), organic and non carbonated.
- Hot or cold chai also available (Holy Cow made)
